Today I took my nephew JoJo out for her 6th year old birthday. We went to the restauarant located at Hotel Sav called Moreish & Malt American Grill & Bar. Jojo picked this restaurant ‘cos it has her favorite kids meal menu. Every time when we come to the restaurant, the server is very patient. He would let us take our time to make decision and recommend us if we order too little/too much. From the menu, she picked Fish Finger & French Fries meal. There is also a selection of buttered sweet corn
From the menu, she picked Fish Finger & French Fries meal. There is also a selection of buttered sweet corn and apple juice. It was such a good deal that it was $58 for all the food they serve. They made everything fresh so it was served hot. As a kids meal, I said the quality is very decent, even comparing to the ones that cost about $100.
My sister and I picked from the regular menu. We started with two Soup of the Day – Tomato soup with Truffle oil, Crab meat Avacado Tostada. The soup was very good, and with some truflle oil, it adds any level of delicacy to the taste of the soup. The crab meat appetizer was also yummy. The crab meat is real crab meat, but not from canned or fake crab meat. The avocado blended very well with the seafood. There were 4 pieces served. When my sister said it was very yummy, Jojo also tried one, that only left me with one piece to try. It was a good appetizer to start the meal, not something too heavy.
For entrée, we were going to share New Zealand Rib Eye with Truffle Fries and also Sphagetti Alfredo Mushroom. Both dishes were served at the same time. The portion of sphagetti was quite generous. The Alfredo sauce was more on the light side, and nothing too creamy. It was a great combination with our steak. We also quite like our rib eye steak, ‘cos it’s very well worth for the price we paid. Also, the steak was cooked perfect to medium rare.
Finally we ordered a slice chocolate cake for Jojo. The dessert is alright to me, but Jojo loves it a lot, and she wants to come back again for this next time. Overall, for the price we paid, I said this is a very great deal dinner, and it is of much better quality & service than the regular HK local café/restaurant.
