牛霸小麵店 (English name: Niu Ba Taiwanese) is one of two restaurants located in this little side alley. I discovered it one day when I was having lunch at Seoul Brothers and saw a new restaurant had opened next door. I discovered it one day when I was having lunch at Seoul Brothers and saw a new restaurant had opened next door. It was fairly quiet for a Sunday evening but then it's also located in not an obvious place. Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. They suggest you order by scanning  a QR code that will take you to an ordering service. I suggest you use that as more bargains are found there and not the paper menu.

One such thing is drinks. It's not mentioned on the paper menu but online, there is a discount on drinks if you order a main. I had a Passion fruit Ice Tea with Coconut Jelly ($10 with order of main). This was SUPER sweet. I wasn't expecting that as most places I order it's usually pretty watered down. Otherwise, it's fine in taste. Just a bit too sweet. I'll definitely adjust the sweetness next time.

The four of us shared mains as his sister and mother don't eat very much. One thing we ordered was the Beef Noodle in Soup ($65). Really excellent. The noodles were chewy. The beef was so soft, I didn't even need to chew. The soup had a rich beef flavor. It was a bit spicy but not too much.

Deep Fried Chicken Nugget and Minced Pork Bento ($60) is the second main we ordered. This was ok. The mince pork was nicely seasoned. The chicke nuggets had a good amount of seasoning but the coating was soggy in some parts.

Deep Fried Pork Chop Onion and Minced Pork Dry Noodles ($62) is the third item. The pork chop was nicely seasoned but again the coating was soggy. However, the noodles were great. There was the right amount of sauce. The sauce was also not too oily yet was packed with flavor. Probably one of the best dry noodles I've had in Hong Kong.

It seemed their noodles were excellent. The fried items weren't too good but the noodles made up for it. I'll be back  as I live close enough. Price isn't expensive at all.
