I looked up the openrice that many people would visit this restaurant and try the rice with Dried Pawns and Lotus Leaves on Bamboo Steamer if they come visiting Tai O. As a result, I gave it a try… but personally I would say, indeed it’s just okay, not that splendid as people said… I am a strong taste lover, this dish is too tasteless for me… also, no sauce at all, which is very dry! I can’t say it’s very attractive to me… Contrastively, the clams in soyer sauce tasted really strong (or I should say salty) and juicy… if you had to order it, better order a bowl of rice to serve with it… the fried veggie and salted cuttlefishes were quite salty… overall, the dishes here are not impressive at all…
the environment there is quite dirty and noisy… can you imagine we were actually eating just next to a brunch of garbage = =? If I go to Tai O next time, I would try other restaurants than this one… ummm….
