Have been wanting to try coffee alley for some time, and finally decided to see what the hype was all about. I tried going on a Saturday but sadly learned the lesson that its never a good idea to go on weekends. Tried again on a weekday but still ended up standing in a line outside. My friend and I decided to stay and we waited for 30 minutes or so. (tip: they limit meal times to 1.5 hours during peak hours so you could estimate the time, or bring a friend to keep you company)Took some time look
Took some time looking at the menu because everything looks so tempting! Finally decided on..
1. Iced Fruit Tea
This was very refreshing and had a variety of different fruits.2. Grilled Chicken Ciabatta
My favourite out of all the dishes I tried. Have always been a fan of ciabatta (maybe because it reminds me of Paninis from Costa in the UK?) I felt that the filling matched perfectly and the ciabatta was just the right softness. Would definitely have this again.3. Curry
The curry tasted ok but wasn't particularly amazing.4. Salted caramel waffle with vanilla ice-cream
Very very filling. The salted caramel sauce was served separately so you could add as much as you wished. I mixed the cream, caramel and icecream together on the waffle and it tasted good. However the waffle was a bit too thick, so after eating a quarter I was already stuffed. Overall:
I would go again but probably after all the hype has died down. Wanted to try the croissant but it was sold out that day. Oh and the cotton candy espresso ice cream looks tempting.. next time
