We went in for lunch on a weekday, having already ordered when queueing outside. Into just over 20 minutes of dining, the staff suddenly told us using an extremely disrespectful and impolite tone “let me tell you, do you know there are a lot of people queueing outside”. To balance out the arguments, I guess they have this attitude or mindset because of some kind of lunch discount (which we didn’t know until we checked the bill - the rice was $78 in the menu but in the bill it was $50) so they probably wanted to ensure traffic flow and fast turnaround time within the 12-2pm lunchtime window (if 30min is their target turnaround time, then they can do 4 rounds of customers per table, good deal). But the food wasn’t really outstanding. If cheap average food means bad service is expected - well then please kindly ignore this review. Or maybe they actually have a maximum dining time of 30 minutes, which we weren’t aware of? (If so maybe they can think about sticking this instruction on the walls.🤔)
No matter what, they have given me a memorable dining experience and a restaurant name that I would never ever need to consider again when searching on OpenRice. Thanks!😊
