The only good thing seems to be the price

Had lunch here a while ago with my friends. Food was just ordinary in our opinion. We tried the sour and spicy soup and the deep fried pork chop with noodles (supposed to be La Mian). The former was alright but the latter was definitely NOT ok, with the pork chop literally soaked in oil - to be frank, simply one of the worst I had tried recently. Had lunch here a while ago with my friends. Food was just ordinary in our opinion. We tried the sour and spicy soup and the deep fried pork chop with noodles (supposed to be La Mian). The former was alright but the latter was definitely NOT ok, with the pork chop literally soaked in oil - to be frank, simply one of the worst I had tried recently.
The noodles were also overcooked and was not tangy at all. The 水煎包, supposed to be one of their specialities, also did not manage to impress. It was basically a variation of 生煎包, and although the skin was cripsy, the meat inside was not particularly tasty or juicy; it was hardly worth waiting for in our opinion
(Just a side track here: having tried a superb version of 生煎包 at a street stall in Shanghai few years back, I have yet to find a local store selling decent 生煎包 - why can't they do it properly here in HK ??
) And even the soy milk served here was not appealing, being too sweet in taste without the usual aroma of soy beans. In summary, we would not recommend this place at all, except if you happen to be nearby and that you really have to eat on a budget (which is rather unfortunate, I must say).
