Once stepped out of the "mood-changing" lift, I was stunned by the exquisite setting of Felix.Sadly the perfect view of Victoria Harbour is semi-blocked by the curtains... what's the point of having those curtains if one of your biggest forte is the VIEW?Anyways, let's talk about the food. The scallop is not overcooked. And I like the baked roll filled with dried tomato Quail with parmesan foam and pumpkin gnocchi
I had big expectation for the dish as I like gnocchi a lot.Turned out this is just a disaster. The dish would be better if the foam is replaced by some cheese sauce.
As you know the foam melt instantly in your mouth and the flavor can't last long.
That makes the gnocchi tasteless.
Main dishes are okay. No surprise though.
Sea-bass shrimp with ginger cream
The sea-bass is filled with shrimp pâté. Beef tenderloin, mushroom pie and chinese cabbage
Dessert time! (I waited so long for this!)Compote pear and Financier cake, Pear ravioli, caramel icecream
Yummmmmm!Well I may be biased as personally I love any dessert with fruit. The pear isn't as sweet as I wished for, but the caramel icecream enhanced the flavor.
Overall I was disappointed by the experience - for the price, I would opt for somewhere else like Robuchon or Cepage. At least Robuchon offers a perfect bread basket...
