Went there for dinner for the very first time. The first impression was decent. The seating and atmosphere was quite comfortable and spacious. Serving staff were friendly, we were very happy with their politness and helpfulness. The "Camper's Salad" was served with our choice of dressing and it was very tasty. Just as we thought this restaurant is a keeper, things turned south...
We ordered the 16oz beef ribs as main dish, the piece appreaed to be a bit small. As we cut through the whole pieces, we kept running into fat and tendon. We tried our best to harvest for some meat and ended up with less than 2-3oz of meat. The rest were FAT!
We were puzzled and asked for a waiter's help. The waiter referred us to the most senior staff. He came, took one look and in a demeaning tone, told us that we should have told them as soon as we found the first piece of fat. We told him we tried to keep the dish and tried to harvest for some real meat and failed. He said sorry and walked away. The most pissing moment was when the next table was served their 16oz, it was nice, tender, and meaty with lean meat. I asked the same guy to clarify we had the same order, he just said, that's right, that's same meat, and told us next time we should have told them the problem as soon as possible.
Next time? Yeah right...
The "senior" guy told us he waived our service charge and stood there... Although I wasn't expecting much from them, I would thought we deserved a sincere apology.
Sadly, the reality is that price and value does not always equal. But to be demeaned and be told off as if our patience equals to ignorance is a turn off.
