This place is my favorite place so far for Thai food in HK and we have been here numerous times for their cooked food. Recently, they have started doing Thai style BBQ with a grill right in front of the restaurant so we decided to try that when we were here for dinner. All the ingredients were placed in front as if to whet our appetite! The Thai Style BBQ menu had seafood like mussels, scallops, shrimps and fish as well as beef, pork, lamb and chicken. We ended up ordering 3 dishes to share between the 2 of us.
Young Coconut ($30) - the young coconut was sweet and refreshing! The coconut flesh was thick and plentiful, which peeled away easily for easy consumption. I ended up just eating that as dessert!
Grilled Squid's Hand ($68) - the squid was grilled perfectly as the texture was firm and tender. The surface was seared nicely and coated with a slightly sweet sauce. I liked the dipping sauce as well which was sour and tart.
Mixed Satay ($78 for 6 sticks) - we got 2 of each for beef, pork, and chicken. The pork was the best of the 3 as the meat was very juicy and tender. The beef was a bit tough while the chicken was standard. I should just get all pork next time! The peanut sauce could have used more peanut flavor as well.
Char Grilled Pork Neck ($70) - the pork neck was really delicious! The pork was cooked perfectly as the sides were slightly crispy while the insides were tender and succulent. The sauce that accompanied this dish was spicy and since we both love spicy, this made the pork neck even more enjoyable to eat!
Conclusion - besides the Thai cooked food, this restaurant excels in Thai Style BBQ as well! The ingredients were great in quality and they just simply know what they are doing when it comes to grilling.
