There are always alot of new cafes and restaurants opening up in Kwun Tong's industrial buildings and i will look at those pull up banner for suggestion too. Today i decided to try this Thai cafe that was opened not long ago. 1988 was located at Hing Yip Street, around 8 minutes walk from MTR. They will change their lunch menu from time to time so that customers can try on new dishes. Their lunch set came with a drink as well. I can top up for their snacks or desserts etc. Thai style milk tea -

Thai style milk tea - Since i was in a Thai cafe, i decided to try on their Thai style milk tea. Thai style milk tea was different from Hong Kong style in a way that Thai style uses more milk and the tea was stronger. This milk tea was smooth and has fragrant tea taste.
Pad Thai - For a lunch set, the price of pad thai was definitely on a higher side but the chef was very generous with the prawn serving. Prawns were fresh and juicy. Peanut bits and chilli powder were provided at the side, just like any typical Thai restaurant. Pad thai was slightly on the sweeter side, noodles were chewy and flavourful.
