Recently, a number of bubble tea places have opened up in Hong Kong. All of them originating from Taiwan, the land of bubble tea. T4 Tea for You is also from Taiwan. Focusing on pure tea and sweetened by sugar cane instead of regular sugar, it has very few locations in Hong Kong. I happened on this while I was waiting for boyfriend and I saw a stream of students walking around with a cup from this place. Asking where it was, we found it in Jordan in a small side street. But it was popular! There were so many students waiting in line for a drink!
Menu is in English and Chinese with plenty of add on options.
I decided to try their best selling product: Elegant Rose Royal Tea ($32 for large size) and added $5 for bobba. For a large, it wasn't as large as most other places so it was perfect size for me. Taste wise? Refreshing and not too sweet even though I asked for regular sweetness. The taste of the tea was strong and fragrant. The bobba was ok. A bit too soft for my liking.
Boyfriend ordered Jadeite Royal Milk Tea ($30 for large) and added $5 for coconut jelly. This tea wasn't as strong as mine and covered up by the milk. So, I assume you should choose a tea without milk if you like just tea. The coconut jelly was nice and chewy. I liked them more than my bobba.
A good addition to the bobba tea competition but definitely only stick to the clear non milk based teas. The ElegantRose Royal Tea was quite good and really helps quench any thirst. I'd be back to order that again. I noticed they had pudding as an addition so perhaps I'd choose that next?
