Treated to a birthday dinner by a dear friend and chose this classy quiet corner of the Elements. The mini dinner rolls were warm and soft - the mini croissant was crisp and buttery. The crab and tomato salad "le crabe" was slightly mundane. The sea bass in forms of "sliced fish-paste" was al dente, but my companion uncharitably compared this to "high class fish balls". The pan-fried beef was tender but was a bit peppery. The desserts crowned it all; the wheat crepe was crunchy and the vanilla sauce was not too sweet, the apple sorbet was zesty and the preserved apple slice was a perfect garnish. Coffee was always satisfying here, though the teapot (more a box) was a fun toy to tinker with.
At $425 per head, one really couldn't ask for a more fairly priced dinner of this class anywhere else.
