Not sure if they’ve had a change of ownership or management, or if this is an expression of their internal team dynamic, but the service has deteriorated greatly over the last year. The original staff were friendly and kind, and always greeted us with a smile and hello.
Sadly, this is not the case anymore.
On my last 3 visits, no hello, no smile, and the staff behind the counter came across as if I’d walked in during closing.
Coffee is small and overpriced, and I wonder what drew me to this cafe in the first place? Perhaps the lighting and location?
Sadly, it will be the last time I come here as there are plenty of options in the area that deliver a higher level of service.
