For a regular meet up with a girlfriend, I have proposed Sevva for tea. When I arrived, I was greeted cordially but the nice hospitality stops as soon as you step outside onto their terrace. I don’t know what it is with Sevva. The service sucks everytime on the terrace. They have these young unmotivated hardly English speaking waiters alongside with some senior waiters who don’t give good example either. Mind you, if you want to order something on the menu. The waiting staff on the terrace is blunt and short, facial expression is depressing. If you ask what we can have for tea, they point you the one pager they have. One and only tea set for 2 for 450 HKD more of less. Furter no details are given such as what kind of tea etc. We ordered the tea set with coffee.
We did not even finish our tea set and an older waiter comes to us and tells my girlfriend in Cantonese that he needed our seats as a group was coming in 10 min. That was it! He didn’t even offer an alternative seat for us. When she asked, he told her that we could move to a standing table. After spending 700 HKD on a tea set and additional drinks (as you only get 1 cup of coffee) including 10% service charge, you get lousy service and are chased out of your seats before you can even finish your TEA SET!
The irony... when leaving.. again friendly staff indoor wished us a good day and please come again!
One good thing. Yes, the crunch cake is good but please Sevva Management, Take notice and train your staff!
