Had afternoon tea for 2 today, environment & food is decent but our experience isn’t lovely at all. The most disappointed area is the service attitude of the waiters. Apparently they are friendly & generous to non-cantonese customers. We sat between the tables with English speakers, the waiters (including the manager) kept checking if they are all good and if they need extra food etc. however, they didn’t do the same to us and another table with 2 HKers. The most disappointed area is the service attitude of the waiters. Apparently they are friendly & generous to non-cantonese customers. We sat between the tables with English speakers, the waiters (including the manager) kept checking if they are all good and if they need extra food etc. however, they didn’t do the same to us and another table with 2 HKers. When I need to order extra food, there was NO staff around at all (PS. that 2 tables with English speakers were gone). Finally a staff at bar area went out to assist.
With a tea set of $588/head plus 10%, this is definitely at a high side but such a double standard of service, or lack of care for all customers would be something the management need to look into seriously.
I’m not going to differentiate the nationality or language, however service standard should be equal among all customers.
I will never go back and would not recommend to everyone. Sorry, speaking a same language doesn’t mean you can neglect.
