Interesting fact, this is probably my second time having Korean style steamed hotpot. For some reasons, I always believe that the flavours from the seafood is lost during the process of steaming, which is completely untrue, and is entirely my mis-conception. We have ordered a few layers of crab seafood set for $1388 that can serve 2-4 people. As a promotion, a serving of Korean beef would be given as  compliment. When we were waiting  for our food to be cooked, which takes 20 mins, we can munch

We have ordered a few layers of crab seafood set for $1388 that can serve 2-4 people. As a promotion, a serving of Korean beef would be given as  compliment. 

When we were waiting  for our food to be cooked, which takes 20 mins, we can munch on some of the traditional Korean starters that was given to us. We have got some good old kimchi, pickled cucumber, carrots, and of course bean shoots.

The first layer is the complimentary beef that actually comes with a  piece of radish. The radish is cooked and completely softened but it is not gong to break. The  soft bite is meaty beefy and delicious. We were also suggested to enjoy it with some of the Korean spicy sauce on the side which  I think absolutely elevate the flavour!

The next layer comes with the fish maw with Korean fish cake. Surprisingly the fish maw is very fresh and chewy at the same time. The fish cake itself is soft and full of bean flavour, quite a unique combination  between these two ingredients. It's a  smart choice for them to put this light and luxurious bite at the very beginning so that we can enjoy the best taste before we get full.

Next, we have a layer of Canadian crab - legs only. They are delicious with a fresh crab taste. Not too salty and the meat is not falling apart. There  are also lots of flavourful yellowish roe attached which is absolutely tasty. No sauce is needed because its original taste is already powerful enough.

The crab is big in size so there are lots of meat in each leg. It's also good that they did help us crack open the shell.

The next layer comes with an assortment of seafood including prawns, whelks, clams, octopus, some cherry tomatoes and papaya!

The sea whelks are fresh although they are small in size. The meat is firm and all that. I would be best to go with some soya sauce.

The clams are also small but they are pretty sweet in taste, not bad to my liking.

Then the prawns are very big in size comparatively, fresh and delicious. There are also some roes in the head that you may enjoy. Definitely my favourite season in this layer.

The next layer comes with crab again! But this time we got the lid and the claws, sweet potato, pumpkin, and sweet corn. There are lots of carbs and dense food so you surely will not leave hungry.

While the lid is what it is all about. There are lot so roe in the head part. They are rich, flavourful, savoury and absolutely amazing. I wish I can have a bowl of rice to go with it. The head is very big , just enough to feed 4 people.

The fortune pockets are cute and they are actually filled with some fish cake with crab roes

It's soft from the outside, and firm inside. I liked that there are some crunchy bits from the crab roes.

This is my favourite fish cake which has cheese filled inside. The sweet and savoury taste is irresistible. I wish I can have one more of it!

The mussels are just average because it doesn't have a strong taste. The bland taste is not pleasant.

Last but not least, it's all about the congee base. Since the steam pipe is at the bottom of the pot, the congee is a bit watery. The seafood taste is not entirely falling into the congee. The subtle seafood taste is still noticeable but it can be much stronger.

There are also some extra clams in the congee for flavours.

As it is a Korean style steamed pot, there are some leeks, seaweeds, and spicy radish cubes for you to mix into the congee.

Lastly, I must introduce their drinks as they are pretty special to me. We have ordered plum wine which comes with some gold flakes. It's sweet but not as sweet as the Japanese ones.

We have also ordered mango beer, which is like a beer with a light sweet taste, pretty easy to drink especially for gals.
