Trois Cafe often does pop-up collaborations, This time they collaborated with local artist Terrence Lam and I decided to check it out.The front of the cafe was decorated with drawings and items from his latest single, Doodoodoo.Along with their regular menu, they had a special menu for the pop-up collaboration. Menu is in English and Chinese. Ordering is by QR code ordering system that was also in English and Chinese. It was fairly easy to use and went smoothly.I came here for the collaboration

Along with their regular menu, they had a special menu for the pop-up collaboration. Menu is in English and Chinese. Ordering is by QR code ordering system that was also in English and Chinese. It was fairly easy to use and went smoothly.
I came here for the collaboration pop-up so I ordered something from that section of the menu. I originally wanted donuts but they had sold out already! So, I went for the next thing: doodoodoo ice cream ($50). This is a strawberry ice cream with a strawberry jelly glaze and balsamic vinegar to pour on top. You can opt to not have the balsmic vinegar but then you only have a ball of ice cream.
It wasn't very big and it looked cute with the mini glasses. The glasses are a souvenir which is a bit disappointing. I had hoped it might be chocolate or something. It tasted ok as it was strawberry ice cream.
Adding the balsamic made it a bit more tart so I liked it a bit better. But it was a bit difficult to eat as they only have forks. I think a spoon made it a bit easier to eat.
I also had a latte ($47). This was pretty terrible. The latte art fell apart too easily. The latte didn't have enough milk and the espresso was bit too bitter. It was accompanied by a candied walnut which was a lot better than the coffee.
The place is nice for photos but the coffee wasn't that good. Collobartion item was a bit weak as you really can't complain about ice cream that didn't seem homemade. Doubt I'd return.
