Since it was winter season now, most of us will love to have hotpot or claypot rice to warm our body. One of my friends casually told me that there was a Japanese fine restaurant serving excellent hotpot, but the price will be slightly on the higher side. Since it was highly recommended, i decided to bring my wife there for lunch. They do offered lunch set as well as hot pot set. Hot pot set ranged from $180 to $580 and was inclusive of small dish, salad, pickles, miso soup, dessert and coffee or tea. We can choose the soup base from soy base, seaweed base and suki yaki. Besides that, they offered Japanese brewed COEDO beer range.
COEDO Beniaka craft beer - This beer was quite special as it was brewed with roasted sweet potatoes from Japan. It was easy to drink and smooth. It gave off a strong sweet potato taste with slight bitterness.
Mashed pumpkin salad - I liked this side dish as the pumpkin was very sweet and it contained raisins and nuts in it. The texture was very filling and smooth. Those pickles and vegetables were soft and juicy, able to taste the freshness.
A5 Japanese HIDA beef - Since we came all the way here, I ordered their premium range which was the A5 beef. Hida, known as one of the finest quality varieties of bee, is of the highest quality in marbling, luster, color, texture and smell. Besides the beef, the waiter also served those vegetables in a basket.
I guessed that most of their vegetables were from Japan as well. Tofu was soft and smooth, like baby's tender skin. Mushroom was chewy and smooth as well. Lettuce and cabbage was crunchy and juicy as well. Soup was incredibly sweet and i even drank few bowls of it.
In order not to spoil the beef, I just boiled the beef for few seconds before savouring it. It was extremely soft and tender, and the texture was thin. It was juicy as well, almost melting in my mouth and do not even need to chew on it.

I asked for udon instead of set as it will go along better with the hotpot. Udon was chewy and smooth, sweet as well as it absorbed the essence of the soup base.
Milk pudding - Normally I do not prefer milk pudding as the milk taste was too strong but their milk pudding was anything but that. It was home-made and it was silky soft and smooth. It instantly melted in my mouth when i placed a bite in my mouth.
Pomelo drink - This drink was rather bland and clear as there was not much honey in it, but there were pomelo bits residing at the bottom of the glass.
