Came here for shabu-shabu the other night and it was good! We had two soup flavours - seaweed and a brown one that I can't remember the name of. I think it might've been soya sauce flavour? The seaweed soup base was very plain and boring so we cooked all our food in the brown soup instead. There are only 3 soup flavours in total to choose from, and we didn't choose Kimchi soup base.There were 3 of us eating and we ordered Australian wagyu beef set, seafood set, vegetable set and a Zenpachi salad
There were 3 of us eating and we ordered Australian wagyu beef set, seafood set, vegetable set and a Zenpachi salad. We ended up cancelling the vegetable set because the beef and seafood sets both came with vegetables already. Total bill was $900.
The Aus wagyu beef was only a small portion (6 slices) but it was very delicious. Highly recommended.
Seafood set consisted of crab leg, salmon, scallop, squid, prawn, octopus?, and a white-fleshed fish. There were 3 slices of the white-fleshed fish and 2 pieces of everything else, which was annoying to share amongst 3 people. The prawns were big.
Zenpachi salad was interesting because there are slices of fried lotus root and squares of compressed and fried white bait to add crunch.
The restaurant decor is very pretty. I loved that you sit on the floor.
