I had to sign up for openrice just to write this review. I went here on friday night around 7pm to get some soup and noodle. Im korean and been to few korean restaurants in HK and most of them were just average. Born Ga was even worse. It was not authentic AT ALL. Also they charge for extra side dish which ive never seen in my life at any other korean restaurant. Moreover, the soup does not come with a rice. You have to order it separately. In terms of service, it is so bizarre. Most of the servers were super rude. Almost throwing the food on our table and ignoring us for not ordering barbecue which is more expensive than other a la carte menu. They cannot speak english nor canto. And not even korean. I could tell from their heavy korean accent that they are mainlanders with korean ancestry background aka 조선족.
The only time they actually paid attention to our table is when we asked for the bill. The server had to come back in 30 sec to rush us.
Good food with poor service or vice versa could be worth going back for.. but bad food with poor service is not acceptable. I would Never go back to Born Ga for sure.
This was the cold noodle we ordered. As u can see from the photo it is completely diluted and ice cubes are even making it worse. The broth tasted like water.
As for the soondubu, there were like two small pieces of tofu and nothing else. It tasted like ramen not soondubu.
