If you’re a burger person like me you have to try Shake Shack. The quality of the Shack Burger is between your regular fast food joint but not yet in the “gourmet” category.
I think all chains should be the same but for some reason I always find the IFC branch tastes better (?) Maybe it’s more satisfying to eat it on the roof top overlooking the harbour.
Their buttered bun is tasty throughout and never dry, The lettuce and tomato slices are fresh and the patty is juicy and perfectly seasoned, I have tried both double and single patty but I think the ratio of the single patty is perfect for the bun. My opinion is the double patty is a little too meat heavy and masks the flavour of the bun.
The cheesy fries go very well with the burger. The cheese is not too salty and is insanely good when eaten hot! The fries ridged fries are great for catching melted cheese.
The vanilla shake has a real vanilla bean and milk taste.It also is served quite thick and doesn’t melt too fast. The joint really lives up to its name and produces one of the best shakes in HK.
