阿一豬扒酸辣米綫 is a noodle shop that boyfriend wanted to try as he heard the deep fried pork chop was amazing. So, I tagged along.The restaurant is pretty spacious. Boyfriend had a deep fried pork chop with noodles in a slightly spicy soup ($40). But it turned out spicier than expected. It was that numbing spiciness and even boyfriend felt it was too much for him. Then he tosses me a bit of pork chop to share and the vegetables, making my soup spicy as well. The pork chop was so soft but it was more like they added meat tenderizer.
I had chicken wings and noodles with a tomato based soup base ($36). The soup lacked any tomato flavor. There were some chopped tomato but the soup just tasted like salted water. Of course, then it tasted spicy after boyfriend gave me some of his pork chop and vegetables. The chicken wings were apparently fried and so dry to the point of being tough.
Pretty terrible bowl of noodles. It was also a big portion size and yes, cheap. But I won't be back. It's no wonder it was so quiet.
