It was one of those days where I have lunch with my mum alone. But this restaurant was certainly a bad choice. We only came here because we were given some coupons.The first order was a uni and salmon sashimi don set. As you can see from the picture the uni was like a paste (the fine eggs like structure were not seen) signs of either bad handling technique or seafood that was left for too long. The first order was a uni and salmon sashimi don set. As you can see from the picture the uni was like a paste (the fine eggs like structure were not seen) signs of either bad handling technique or seafood that was left for too long. The salmon was OK but the uni was bad. The colour was brownish and it was bitter and fishy with a bit of urea taste as well. This uni was certainly not fresh. The rice was warm and overly sour. Too much vinegar destroyed the seafood.......
Then it was my order which was a mixed sashimi don set. The only acceptable sashimi was the snapper, the tuna was dark brown and fishy (clearly not fresh), the shrimp was bad too (sweet but fishy).The wasabi was from the powered European breed, which is supposedly justifiable by its cost control but 舞心 the ramen shop in CWB uses real frozen wasabi and the food was considerably cheaper.
The only thing with positive comment was the steam egg. Scored 2.5/10
