After visiting a friend in Kowloon East, we decided to do dinner at Kowloon City. As it was still early around 6pm, we chose to try this - one of the most popular restaurant in Kowloon City, if not whole Hong Kong.We arrived at 6:30 but there had been a long queue already... Yet, there were seats outside for waiting people and we got in after waiting 30mims... The restaurant was not very spacious, around 12 tables in total and customers had to share tables. The waiters were not kind neither... T

The restaurant was not very spacious, around 12 tables in total and customers had to share tables. The waiters were not kind neither... They appeared to be impatient and urged us to order food without giving much time to think...
After all, we ordered the followng:
1) Beef cake: one of the most famous dishes. The coating wasnt too thick and the meat inside was juicy. The turnover was quick and they were hot when served. Recommend!
2) Sour spicy soup: Fresh chinese style thick soup. There were meat slices and vege slides inside. But maybe too spicy for those who didnt eat hot. One bowl for each was the best portion.
3) Curry Ox-tongue: Curry was good with special herbs but the ox-tongue wasnt. Apparently the cooking time was not sufficient. It was too hard to eat. Please do other curry dishes if you like curry.
All in all, this restaurat wasnt that fabulous as it appeared in Openrice... Service was not up to standard and most food was just normal standard. Not to mention the long waiting time...
Just try when you are out of choices...
