Finally tried this newly opened Italian resto by pirata group in quarry bay! I was tempted by the beautiful interior decor and the name of pirata group, so I decided to give it a try. Most of the pirata group restos are up to standard at reasonable price, so I have some certain expectations.. turns out I think there were some hits and misses.. First of all, I think the food was overall not bad, I especially liked the fancy steak tartare and the CHEESE WHEEL AL TARTUFO, and BEEF TENDERLOIN ALLA BOSCAIOLA was cooked perfectly tender..
In terms of the service, I think they still have room for improvements.. they forgot to give us the complimentary welcoming bread, until we mention it after they served our starters.. (the bread was really good tho)
And they forgot our mains until we mention too.. 😅
And the staffs were not too attentive and friendly as I expected, our glasses were always empty and nobody would notice until we wave at them..
Overall, I think the food and ambience were not bad.. not surprisingly good but I liked most of the dishes we ordered..
it would be great if they can improve their service..
