Tonight, my friend took me to this new restaurant in Mong Kok; apparently this new fusion restaurant is very popular among my friends. Me and my friend went there at 6pm so there were only a few tables occupied. There were not a lot of space in the restaurant but we later on found out that they have more seats upstairs. To start with, my friend want to drink something healthy so she got the "GREEN" juice which contains green apple, kiwi, orange, grapes and lemon. Apparently, she said the lemon flavour stands out from the rest.
I was a bit greedy tonight so I got the "dark choco". The drink was so big that I couldn't finish it, I think it's a two people drink.😂😂😂 Anyway, I also requested to add banana into the drink which made it more fruity. The drink was highly concentrated with chocolate, it tasted quite good with the banana.
We ordered lots of snacks tonight, the first one was the deep fried cuttlefish roll, they looked like the one that you can eat in Japan's 7-11. The size was perfect for snack, the taste was alright. The black one was more chewy than the brown one, I prefer the brown one more because it wasn't as fishy than the black one and easier to chew.
Buffalo wings were presented nicely on the wooden board. The wings were cut in half which made it super easy for us to eat. I really like the flavour as they were sour and spicy. The wings were also very juicy.
The sliced green papaya and Waterloo bamboo salad with grilled pork neck was served in a jar. When we opened it, there were lots of applewood smoke flowing out, they smell so nice. The pork neck was tender and tasty. I liked the salad dressing, it was a bit sour but very refreshing! They sliced the green papaya and Waterloo bamboo into very thin stripes which made them easy to chew.
Our favourite was the lab 66 signature iron pot rice. The staff told us to stir it instantly otherwise the rice will be burnt. I really like this rice dish because it tasted like pizza; there were mince, diced capsicum, onion and lots of cheese with spicy sauce. After mixing everything together, it really tasted like pizza. I would highly recommend this rice dish.
