The season of lamb pot has arrived! Today we visited a friend in Tai Po and she took us to Hei Hei Kitchen to try out their lamb pot and some of the iconic dai pai dong dishes. Newly launched menu - and probably the the most popular item! Loaded with lamb, mushroom, bamboo shoot, water chestnut and beancurd skin. The soup was sweet and packed with flavors of fermented beancurd.

Fish Head w/ Ginger Scallions Pot
A standout. Still preserved the smooth texture of the fish head even after deep-frying. Not too oily either. Juicy scallions.

Dai pai dong staple to finish up the meal. The noodles had an al dente texture.

The staff were also polite and attentive. Highly recommending Hei Hei Kitchen especially for big parties. Just be sure to get there early or make a reservation in advance.
