My wife suggested to have Cantonese cuisine for dinner tonight near our house and we suddenly think of Reunion Garden. It was located at Hillwood Road, few minutes walk from Tsim Sha Tsui MTR.Their seating was spacious and comfortable, with modern Chinese decor. Their seating was spacious and comfortable, with modern Chinese decor. They even have a disinfection station located near the entrance of the restaurant, which was available in some shopping malls.
Their menu was comprehensive, offering a wide range of Cantonese cuisine such as seafood, meat, vegetables, soup, rice, noodles, drinks and desserts etc.
They provided us with plastic gloves and wet tissues for the handling of roast pigeon. The skin was roasted till crispy and the meat was chewy and juicy, with sauce and salt provided to enhance the taste.
Simmered choi sum with black fungus and tomato - This dish was a pleasant surprise, very appetizing. Soup was clear and sweet, absorbing the essence of the tomato. Black fungus, tomato and choi sum were juicy and crunchy, able to taste the freshness.
Casserole of braised cod fish with shallot in rice wine - It was braised till very flavourful, with plenty of onion in it. Cod fish was very soft and smooth, with the gravy perfect to go along with the rice.
After we finished our meal, they served us complimentary red bean soup. The chef was generous with the portion of red bean, which was boiled till soft and chewy, sweet in taste.
