Minimum spending after 11PM on Saturday

Met up with a friend visiting Hong Kong and were looking for a nice bar with fancy cocktails to chill after dinner, spent 5 minutes on Google and decided to try this bar in the Zing. First got out of the lift at around 10:35PM there were several staff gathered right at the entrance and one of them greeted us and informed us there will be minimum spending on different tables  after 11pm, at that very moment the bar was not busy, so we were given options at one of the tiny cocktail round tables wi

Met up with a friend visiting Hong Kong and were looking for a nice bar with fancy cocktails to chill after dinner, spent 5 minutes on Google and decided to try this bar in the Zing. First got out of the lift at around 10:35PM there were several staff gathered right at the entrance and one of them greeted us and informed us there will be minimum spending on different tables  after 11pm, at that very moment the bar was not busy, so we were given options at one of the tiny cocktail round tables with limited access to a bench at hkd1,000 or we can use the one right next to the lift with no seating at hkd500, considering there are only 2 of us I asked if we could just sit at the bar for 1 or 2 drinks then leave, she said we have to return the seats at 11pm. We were given the impression that they are just not welcoming so just left and went for one on the same street. Maybe I will try next time but not when I have a visitor with me, that is not a kind of service in bars of Hong Kong that I would expect even for myself.
