talking about this ole cha-charn-tan, it reminds me of an old song from the bee gees, "when i was small, the christmas trees were tall.....now we are tall, the christmas trees are small..." certainly this is not about the christmas trees but the (height of the) tables inside it. i grew up at this area, and the revisit to this 'diamond cafe' has a special meaning, though the foods are almost nothing good to mention.
