I'm obsessed with macaroons! They are so adorable and taste divine! My first time having Laduree was in the Paris store and it was definitely unforgettable. So ever since Laduree opened up in HK, Ive been meaning to try it but the line is always soooo long! Anyways, I finally gave in and waited in line to get a taste of these macaroons. I bought a box of 8 without the gift box, which were $23 each. I chose pistachio, almond, chocolate, rose tea, chestnut, salted caramel, cognac, rose petal. Out

Out of all the flavors I tried, I must say my favorite has to be the rose petal and salted caramel! I'm a fan of anything rose flavoured, so I knew I would love it. But the cream in the middle just made this macaroon stood out. The cream was so smooth and had the perfect hint of rose fragrant. Then the salted caramel is wonderful if youre looking for something really sweet. The gooey caramel in the middle is to die for! I think the worst out of the bunch would be the chestnut and cognac. Maybe because those two were seasonal flavors, they were not as refined as the other original flavours . Chestnut had a bland taste and the cognac just didn't have strong enough cognac flavor for me to tell what it is if I didnt knew the flavor. Overall, Laduree didn't disappoint. It's probably one of the best places to get macarons in HK! I just wish the line isn't always so long.
