Taiwanese milk tea, bubble milk and fruit tea have a comeback in recent years. Since then, there are so many new joins blossom in Tsim Sha Tsui, Mong Kok, Causeway Bay and Central districts. Don’t Yell at Me is one of them. Sometimes I am a bit confused about whether one is a legit shop from Taiwan. But judging from the few posts on the relative new instagram account of Don’t Yell at Me, it seems to be a legit Taiwanese one which aims to preserve the essence of the shops in Taiwan and brings the
Compare to other tea shops in Central, Don’t Yell at Me definitely sells the cheapest tea yet with good quality. Most of the drinks are around HKD$25 dollars, and of course you have to pay a bit more if you want something really really fancy. Since I visited the tea shop during their soft opening period, I enjoyed a 10% discount for my Lychee and Grapefruit Flavored Fruit Tea. HKD$19 for a fruit tea in Central, you don’t get it very often!
I love the tea cup so much! Taiwanese design is always simple yet right to the point. As for the tea, I opted for no sugar, which apparently isn’t an option for this fruit tea. Nevertheless, the shop assistant assured me that they would try not to add extra syrup in my drink. The tea came with a frizzy texture which confused me a bit. The lychee flavour wasn’t very strong and I couldn’t quite taste it. And I guess the drink was a bit sour due to the grapefruit. It was a nice tea on the whole, given for the price I paid for.
I would love to try out other drinks next time when I pass by. Don’t Yell at Me is just located at the busy junction of Lyndhurst Terrace in Central that you wouldn’t miss it.
