Finally got a day off work so I drove all the way to Sai Kung for a lovely lunch at this contemporary Japanese restaurant. Just the environment and simplistic decor were enough to make me fall in love with the place right away. The salad tasted very refreshing with the sour dressing. The taro starter tasted good too, and it served as a light beginning of the great meal.

The sushi was all great! I liked the uni and the grilled flounder the most, but all were super fresh!

The unagi don was something else! The unagi was perfectly grilled to give it a semi-crispy texture on the outside, and the sauce was a perfect mix of flavors. Tbh this don was worth driving all the way here!

The meal ended with a small bowl of udon and the homemade tiramisu ice cream.

hkfoodtour’s official verdict: Lovely retreat in Sai Kung. Worth the long drive here for sure!
