⛩Jing alley by flower drumThis restaurant is DEFINITELY my favourite si chuan restaurant!! The storefront is so subtle I nearly missed it but you definitely should not miss out on the food here. Appetiser:
Garlic pork wrapped in cucumber. This first dish blew me away right away! It’s a spicy meat appetiser but they added cucumber inside making it refreshing!
Mains:
Sliced duck 片皮鴨 is unique to this restaurant. They added their own twist to it by adding melon and golden kiwi to it. The chef said it’s because ppl usually dip it in sugar but it’s unhealthy so they replaced it with kiwi! They’re even health conscious! 🥺 also they are very attentive by giving each of us an instruction card on how to wrap the duck!
Spicy Sea bass 水煮魚 was so fresh!! Big pieces of fish that were so tender and smooth 🤤🤤🤤 it was accompanied by cucumber and okra which I’ve never seen before! The okra immersed in the spicy soup was so good.
Fish maw with rice 花膠撈飯. Never tried this before. The sauce was slightly spicy and sour which makes it extra mouth metering.
Soup:
vinegar crab sour and spicy soup.
Lots of ingredients and balances both sour and spicy👍🏼
Veggie:
the fried beans were delicious! Had wok hey and the minced meat had a unique flavour to it. There’s also some crunchy stuff in it giving it texture. Couldn’t stop eating it!!
Dessert:
Fruits with 冰粉 (some type of jello) was nothing that special. Can skip!
The seasonal fruits were the cherry on top of this meal though!! So sweet and fresh!! Delivered all the way from Japan 😊
