We decided to have a bite after running some errands in the Kwai Fong area. Not really sure what to eat, we decided to try out Cha Thai. The place was clean with a tiny store in front selling Thai products. They even had a grab and go counter. When we were there, afternoon tea time had just begun. Menu is in English and Chinese. I had the Pork Chop Boat Noodle in Soup (Light) ($45). This looked very nice but oddly not that much flavour. Didn't feel too authentic. It felt like having a a beef broth noodles. The pork chops were tender. There was some crunchy bean sprouts and some deep fried pork rinds that were a bit too hard. Noodles were chewy so that was good.
Boyfriend had the Yellow Curry Chicken Skewer Fried Noodle (Light) ($45). It looked impressive but was a bit difficult to eat. The curry was very spicy but not too hot. The noodles were very crunchy. There were two sticks of chicken skewers where the meat was very moist and tender.
Food was nicely presented but tasted just ok. Didn't feel very authentic but at least the place was tidy.
