I decided to check out Five Guys before heading to gym in Causeway Bay on a Thursday afternoon, thinking that the line might be shorter at 5pm-ish. I guess I was right, as I often see friends posting photos of queues at Five Guys, which go all the way outside the restaurant. I was lucky this time, being able to queue inside the restaurant, with a bunch of school kids in front of me, and surprisingly quite a number of foreign travelers. But it still took me 30 minutes to place and get my order.I
I kinda like their interior decoration. Simple, yet characteristics. Very American too.
Free peanuts for you to enjoy while you are waiting to place and pick up your order. I didn’t try them as I wasn’t really hungry.
I like how they tell your about their fries Oh wow! All the way from Netherlands!
Seeing how the burgers were made was probably the best part of this dining experience.
Little Cheeseburger

I ordered a Little Cheeseburger, with only one single layer of beef (go for Cheeseburger if you want double layers of beef). I specified “no pickles” for all the way (all the toppings), but I ended up having a plain cheeseburger with no toppings nor sauce whatsoever. It’s really disappointing, as the burger was quite dry, and the beef patty was just ordinary…The fries was just so so, and the milkshake counter was not available yet during their soft opening…
The burger was packed with aluminium foil, and every order was served in a brown paper bag, no matter you dine in or take away. It did make me feel a bit uncomfortable for being so environmental unfriendly…But Five Guys is quite proud of this I guess, as they put “Heaven in a Brown Paper Bag” as one of their quote inside the restaurant…Shame…I guess I won’t visit again…It’s not worth the wait and the money, I seriously prefer Shake Shack more!
