Ringer Hut is a Japanese chain restaurant from Nagasaki that serves two Nagasaki favorites: sara udon and champon. The odd thing is that these two dishes are actually Chinese but have been changed to be more Japanese as these two dishes originated from Chinatown Nagasak. I was always curious about this place so boyfriend and I gave it a try.Menu is in English and Chinese with photos of everything. Exactly how you would find a typical Japanese chain restaurant. Nagasaki Sara Udon ($57 for large size, $40 for regular size). As you can see, sara udon is what most people know to be fried chow mein. The noodles were vey thin and very crunchy. It was topped with cabbage, carrots, bean sprouts and random seafood bits such as imiation crab stick and shrimp. It was layered with a thick, gooey, sweet sauce. Personallly, I thought it was ok but not great. The sauce was a bit too thick and gooey but perhaps I was used to the Chinese style of fried chow mein.
