It was a Sunday afternoon and we expected a queue, it seemed to be a popular place and by the time we were seated they even had to turn people away.Whist in the queue I realised why the place was called Let's Jam, its a jam themed restaurant/menu which I thought was nice and when I found out that they make their own jam I gained some respect for the place.We ordered an item each, the all-day breakfast, eggs benedict and honey toast.With almost each item you order there are a few spoonful’s of ja
Whist in the queue I realised why the place was called Let's Jam, its a jam themed restaurant/menu which I thought was nice and when I found out that they make their own jam I gained some respect for the place.
We ordered an item each, the all-day breakfast, eggs benedict and honey toast.
With almost each item you order there are a few spoonful’s of jam and you are asked which flavour you want, this includes food and extends to sodas, teas, milkshakes and slushes.
All day breakfast, visually it looked good and was a fairly generous portion. Overall it tasted good apart from very berry jam, it was so so sweet and this was the consensus between the three of us, not recommended at all.
Eggs benedict, I'm not going to go into how this tasted as the problem was that the egg white was raw!
Honey toast, overall OK however as I also ordered the very berry jam, this spoiled the dish as it so so sweet.
As for my drink I ordered the mango ice, this was completely the opposite to the very berry jam as it was near tasteless. But I think it was probably due to not enough mango jam in the drink.
Overall I think Let's Jam is a good concept but some improvements are needed.
The staff are bland, I don't know about you but I generally like to go places where the staff are smiling and welcoming. And the food needs some slight improvement, a eggs benedict raw is not acceptable. Out of the three jams we tried, the berry (not recommended), the mango (couldn't rate it as there wasn’t enough of it in my drink, the passion fruit (recommended) I only recommend one. I will go to Let's Jam again as I like the concept and I want to try the scones.
