We've been in this branch of Itacho multiple times, and I have yet to remember a single time the manager greeted us with a "hi", "welcome", "what can I help you", "table for many", "thank you", "bye bye" or the common "Irashaimasse" that one would expect when arriving or entering a sushi restaurant.None of those are applicable in this branch manager's mind. I'm not sure if it's a company policy or training these people have upon joining the famous sushi chain, but it really feels like customers
None of those are applicable in this branch manager's mind. I'm not sure if it's a company policy or training these people have upon joining the famous sushi chain, but it really feels like customers have to beg to be seated or are not welcome at all, even after showing up a hundred times before.
I could go further and make comments about the manager personal care and untidy appearance, but his lack of courtesy and unprofessional attitude obfuscates everything else that comes along.
The tipping point that made me decide not to go this shop ever again (and write this review) is the manager's incredible ability of not offering a temporary seat for my 8-months pregnant wife to stay with my 2 year old toddler while we wait for a table in the middle of the calm afternoon.
Dozens of empty seats and tables available, but Z-E-R-O courtesy, usual dead-fish attitude of a person who should be doing the cleaning work of the store, not working as a manager who needs basic social skills and some degree of sensibility to deal with civilised people (paying customers in this case)
Avoid it at all costs. Go to Senryo at Times Square basement for a much better dining experience and fresh food.
