Was super tired and didn't feel like cooking dinner and since McDonald's had the new Superman burger, I decided to do McDonald's take out.After the Batman burger, their next superhero is Superman. After the Batman burger, their next superhero is Superman. The Batman burger set made me want to crawl back into my Batcave. What did I think of this one?
The Superman burger is honey mustard chicken. It came in a box with the famous curled hair of the Man of Steel.
The burger had a chicken patty with lettuce, bacon and cheese and honey mustard sauce. The sauce was pretty good. I liked it. The bacon was soggy but then I've never had any where in Hong Kong that will fry their bacon until crispy like it's SUPPOSED to. The lettuce was limp. But that wasn't what I was appalled over. It was the chicken patty. It was beyond dry. It tasted like cardboard. How does McDonald's do it? Make a chicken patty that doesn't taste like chicken but like cardboard? I have no words.
The value meal comes with potato cheese balls. It was packaged nicely in a blue box with the famous "S".
The potato cheese balls weren't very cheesy. I split it open and could only find a few spots of cheese at all in it. It wasn't very good but at least they were hot. It's a good thing I had ketchup in my fridge. I added ketchup and it tasted better.
I added money and upgraded my drink to the Superman drink. It's bubble gum McFloat. It came in a cup with the Superman logo. The drink was VERY blue in color with a scoop of whipped cream. To McDonald's credit, it did taste like gum mixed with Sprite. However, it also tasted digusting. It was so gross, I couldn't finish it.
Like the Batman set, the packaging was pretty good. Like the Batman set, I didn't like any of the food items. I think this set was even worse than the Batman set. I don't know who they will have next in their Justice League series. I hope the next set will taste better. Or maybe I just like to torture myself because I love theme based food so much.
