After work, I headed to Pacific Place for their Nutella pop up but when I arrived, all the jars of Nutella were sold! OH NO! As the staff told me they were good for me, I had not one but two cupcakes. I mean ... no point counting calories when it's good for you, right?
Double Date ($36). This was highly recommended by the staff and she claimed this to be their best seller. It's a red date cupcake with a red date buttercream. It was labeled as a low fat, low sugar cupcake. All the sweetness relied on the natural sweetness of the red dates. My thoughts? Hmm...it tasted more like a breakfast muffin than a cupcake. It had that nutty grainy texture found in muffins. It was moist and you can really taste the dates, but this was odd for me. I wasn't a big fan. It was good but not for a cupcake break. I think I could probably see me eating this for breakfast.
