I've been eating and giving this Roast shop a lot of chances but quite frankly, even when its at the peak of its days its still not that great for me.I usually come here eating the BBQ Char Siu (but I've tried everything else as well). I usually come here eating the BBQ Char Siu (but I've tried everything else as well). I've tried ordering normal ones as well as fattier ones as well on numerous occasions.

I would say on a good, lucky day, the Char Siu can have a nice flavour, soft texture and slightly crunchy exterior, but the meat is still always a bit grey, even if I know its been marinated for a few days. On the best of days, its probably worth around 7.5 out of 10.


If you arrive on a bad day however, the Char Siu might be tough, hard, has little taste and even has no darkened external service - not dissimilar to a boiled char siu in a Japanese ramen noodle. On the worst days, its barely 2-4 out of 10.


Good thing is that the rice is always hot and the sauce is awesome and you can add more on top. Having said that, it only gives me satisfaction around 2 out of 5 times or less, so it made me less and less tempted to go eat there.
