Tonight we came here for birthday celebration, for one lonely single boy, well, at this moment at least Planned to have Korean food, so Kimberley Street was the best choice, a whole street of Korean restaurants. There were 7 of us tonight, how could we share the table evenly? The plan was: chairperson the birthday one LOL Actually, it didn't happen, we got bromance! Sounded good since we all love BBQ.
The place is kinda spacious, round tables with an adjustable chimney for sucking the smoke. This was really good for protecting the clothes from the smell (You know that!). Oh, one thing, their stools are made with an iron bucket so that you can store your personal stuff in it
Before ordering, we were served with 3 cold dishes, mainly made with vegetables, only the one with kimchi was my cup of tea.
Human is always attracted by those limited items... so do we! Cheese Ribs limited 30 serves per day. After ordering this, I was wondering whether it was not that good or we were just lucky.
The ribs were kinda tender, the sauce was sweet. I could not be so sure what was the cheese but it felt like Buffalo. Personally, I am not a fan of this but not my friends.
There were many choices on the menu, we ordered a "bu-dae-jji-gae" which was a big pot with spicy soup adding vegetables, little meat (to me, yes, just a little), tofu, mushrooms, sausages... well actually nothing special at all, I only recommend the taste of the soup.
The main courses we had, thin cut ox-tongue, pork and beef which were kinda fresh. But the taste was just fair enough, dipping soy sauce for serving after roasted.
We all loved this dinner due to the people and gathering atmosphere. To be honest, the food was nothing special and not really attractive. Comparing the price and the quality, this is not that worth. There must be something better nearby. Thanks photo by @mohkc.
