I read that 小麻吉滷肉飯 serves great afternoon tea set for about HKD$40, so I visited before a gym class. However, the service was horrid. The manger looking guy and another waitress were really rude. When I first entered the restaurant, the “manager” asked me to follow him inside, and then he carried on to serve food. I had to ask him where should I sit! The Pop Corn Chicken and Minced Pork Rice itself was good. There was generous amount of minced pork that you could mix them well with the rice. Pop corn chicken was freshly fried and was crunchy. Meat inside was tender. There was also a drink to go with this afternoon tea set for HKD$37. I got a passion fruit black tea, it’s refreshing with passion fruit aroma, yet not overly sweet.
However, I don’t think I would ever visit again. It’s not worth it. Service was terrible for the entire time. It’s such a put off that the staff were simply annoyingly blunt and rude. They are so good at giving you a strong feeling that your presence seems to slow that their work pace. So I will get out of my way.
