I ordered their signature pho and a side of deep fried shrimp spring rolls.
Not 20 seconds after I handed my order to the waitress, someone brought out a bowl of pho. I asked if she was sure it was for me, because I literally just ordered it. As I thought, it was meant for the guy at the next table. Sooo dozy and unorganised.
A few minutes later my bowl of pho came. It smelled promising, but I knew it wouldn't be authentic as soon as I saw they had put Vietnamese sausage into it. That's just a no no. You don't put pork into beef pho. I tasted the broth. No beef flavour at all. No slight hint of spices. It just tasted like hot water. There was a variety of meats, but that wasn't enough to save the non-flavouring, and the rice noodles were also overcooked.
Then came the spring rolls and it was shocking. They didn't even try to make them like authentic Vietnamese spring rolls. They took some filo pastry, put a little filling in and rolled it up. They were all deformed in shape and just looked sad. They tasted as bad as they looked.
This was overall a disappointing experience. I will not be coming back and I encourage everyone who reads this not to go. This place is just awful. But, I will say it's still better than that abomination of "pho" in Wan Chai called Spring Field. Both these places should be shut down because they disgrace the good name of "pho".
