Just casted my vote for Social Place for Openrice’s 2017 best restaurant award. I hope they win again this year! I’ve already heard of them from friends since they are a big hit from their specialty dim sum, and also because they are an umbrella restaurant from a very famous food group in Shenzen China. Most importantly, they are right across my office in Central, so I’ve been waiting to try them out!The environment was really clean and trendy. The food was even better though to my expectation!
The environment was really clean and trendy. The food was even better though to my expectation! Their mushroom bun is a must try, which was really a bun infused with mushroom and truffle flavor! The bun was so soft and juicy and looked exactly like a real mushroom. Other food I ordered were really interesting too, such as: the rose bun (which actually has rose flavor), the green tea chewy pear, the black charcoal custard bun (which had gold paints on top), and last but not least, the flame pineapple (which the waiter would set the whole pineapple on fire with a flame gun).
I was very satisfied by the entire experience from the food, the appearance of the restaurant, to the service of the waiters. I cannot wait for them to win the award and I will continue to spread the words to all my friends, especially those working in Central and Tsim Sha Tsui!
