I was a little suspect on this suggestion from my lady friend as she dragged me to BLT steak and I was left holding the napkin. I put my apprehensions aside and went in with an open mind and and empty belly.Most people have 'big eyes and little belly', but we have big both, so needless to say we ordered the Wings, Nachos, BLT burger, Roaring Forties Blue Burger (both with fries, one fat fries & one waffle fries), Milkshake & Beer. Most people have 'big eyes and little belly', but we have big both, so needless to say we ordered the Wings, Nachos, BLT burger, Roaring Forties Blue Burger (both with fries, one fat fries & one waffle fries), Milkshake & Beer.
The Wings were tasty as they roll them in the sauce and serve them with Blue Cheese sauce, but they didn't leave me wanting more.
The Nachos were interesting as the Chili resembled more like a smushed black truffle
BLT burger was delicious, but lacked any originality. May be enjoyed by the plain pallet, but I was needing more action.
Roaring Forties Blue Burger was simply irresistible and the caramelized onions just melted in your mouth and trickle your chin (too much visual ??), but do NOT order this burger unless you adore Blue Cheese. I thought I was a fan of the Blue, but baby is backing away from the Blue for a Bit.
Fries : Fat vs Waffle. I have to say I am not a fan of waffle fries, but they were done very well here. Not dripping with grease and can scoop up a lot of ketchup, but the Fat Fries won hands down. Meaty and Chrispy at the same time. Fat Fries- for the slow , silent type.
Mocha Milkshake - as John Travolta said - ' I gotta try a 5 dollar shake', well my friends, this is almost a 10 dollar (us) shake. Was it worth it.....John would say no, but I would say yes, but only for the fact that I was drinking 10 dollar beers......The Mocha Milkshake was thick and creamy, the beer was thin and dreamy.
My favourite touch was the old fashioned napkin holders.
