A big group of 10 people to pre-celebrate a mid-autumn festival with all my great colleagues. We reserved the table a week in advance to avoid full booking due to Friday night. It's our first time to try this at Hung Hum so we took 5 minutes to find the restaurant from getting off the taxi, it is in a small local street!First of all, happy friday cannot dinner without a super cold beer to start with! Starters included Green Soybean, Boiled Mantis Shrimp, Jelly fish with seaweed & Fried Salmon Skin to switch on our appetits:
--> Boiled Mantis Shrimp - each slide of mantis shrimp was perfectly cut in a suitable size, not too big but not too small. The little orange paste on each slide, fair for everyone. Tasted sweet and good for starter.
--> Jelly fish with seaweed - first time to try, tasted fresh and seawood can leverage the texture in the mouth, a bit crunchy but won't feel too harsh.
--> Fried Salmon Skin - Crispy texture with mayonnaise source with chili powder on top, mix and match with the beer

Main course in sashimi & sushi:
Mixed sashimi platter includes Yellow tail, Scallop, Fatty tuna, Botan prawn, Sea Urchin, Salmon.
Mixed sushi platter includes Tuna tata, Soft shell crab & avocado roll, Shrimp, Crab paste with cucumber, Fish eggs, Salmon, Tuna, Squid,  Octopus & Ark Shell.
As we had 10 people, we ordered each platters x 3 sets, so full on the table and looks fabulous, the best I picked for my first bite is Scallop, it was in a big portion and sweet taste, I really deserved it after an exhausted working day.

Except scallop, I will never forget the Sea Urchin that was great taste over everything on the table, put a big spoon portion of sea urchin and roll in a crispy seaweed, put the whole roll into the mouth, oh my god, that is completely ran over my mouth. Sea Urchin is a MUST item to try !
The fish egg sushi,which is another best choice I picked, first pick first taste as we didn't have enough to share
. The fish egg was quite a lot on the sushi and it tasted extirely fresh, I was wondering why other table just looking at our faces when we kept talking gossip and big bite on each sushi... perhaps we were too noisy.
Soft Shell Crab & Avocado Roll, it came in a very big portion which we didn't expect but we ordered 3 dishes, luckily we had guys to finish all these, the soft shell crab was really nice and taste crispy outside and big portion of avocado that ladies really love, this is good for skin (people said).

We were actually 80% full after all the starters, sashimi & sushi.. but we still wanna tried some hot dish that we really desired for. We ordered Eel and Pan-fried Tuna Chin:
Eel - not too special compared with all the other dishes, perhaps we ate too much nice food before this.

Pan-fried Tuna Chin - the appearance of chin wasn't at that nice I could imagine, however, one word "stunning", oh no, just felt how come I could only try this at the first time in HK. I did try this in Japan local fish market few years ago. This is really cool, it came in hot and pan-fried was cooked in the appropriate time. There was some fat on the chin and the meat was wasted entirely soft and fresh. This is MUST try item !

We had 10 people & it costed around $430 per head, each item we ordered x 3 sets. Not cheap but this is what we paid for a quality food that I think they deserved. Will surely take my friends and family to try next time. Really love it.

As I said it was Friday night, lots of people waiting outside, and I admit we were too noisy but luckily no one complained us. The staff was friendly and nice, they always came to fill in hot tea and asked if we have enough food or anything would like to comment. This is another appreciate attitude these days for catering service in HK.
