Went there yesterday for lunch with my mom and sister. We booked our table for 12:30, and we ordered our stuff. I ordered a tuna fish rice, and my mom got the sukiyaki wagyu beef. My sister just shared... she wasn't hungry.Anyways there was still a lot of people, despite the fact that many people are now scared of Japanese food because of the radiation leakage in Fukishima, Japan. Anyways there was still a lot of people, despite the fact that many people are now scared of Japanese food because of the radiation leakage in Fukishima, Japan.
When the food arrived, I could tell the rice was good. I started digging in, although my moms set had not arrived yet. First thing, was the tuna mince was not the best. There was no "fishy" taste in it, but there wasn't enough fresh in it, not like when me and my family visited Hokkaido just this winter. That was alright.
The two normal slices of tuna, weren't bad, the texture was alright, but there was some "筋“ in it, so it was ok, but you could taste some not so good bits.
Finally, my oh my. The fatty tuna (2 pieces). That was awesome. I saved it for last because I could tell it was good. The color was not "dead", but it had a very good, lively color. I bit down on it, and man, it was good. It almost melted in my mouth, and it tasted great. I finished my food quick. It was good.
I tried some of my moms beef, it was ok, but not as good as in Japan, when we ate a beef sukiyaki in Sendai.
Overall, I recommend you to come here if you enjoy Japanese food, as the environment is quiet and nice. The price wasn't expensive, as my dad had 1 of the around dozen of card that gave use 20% off. XD
We still paid 500 some for the lunch. We had 3 people though. Good price
