I booked the table in advance via email and it worked out perfectly alright. As we were "foreigners" (but still...I'm living here...) and I had a few questions, the service treated us very...well... carefully you can say. I mean, it was great that he told us when to put in what and which mixture of sauces we should definitely try, but personally I think it was too much. I know how to handle hotpot and what to put in when. I'm familiar with that and just because I do not make it how everyone does...it's not wrong, I mean everyone does it in his or her own manner and behaviour. But the guy did not recognize that. And after a while it became really annoying because he approached every 5 min to give a hint...I just wanted to enjoy the evening with my guests I have not seen for a while...
Anyway, there were really friendly and attentive! The portions you get are enough - we were totally full afterwards!
The more you chose out of the list (where you chose the ingredients you'd like to have) the less you get of every single of each.
The Hotpot was good, the different fastest of the soups as well as the ingredients. Personally I don't like vegetarian stuff which looks and smells (and tastes) like non-vegetarian.. like the vegetarian crab stock for example. But yeah....this is just personal.
The atmosphere is okay. The restaurant tries to look better than it actually is. Some corners are really...well...really old and broken. The restaurant has no windows (as I can remember...).The mood is a bit oppressive I'd say. The Tea is 25$ each and you have to take it.
All in all I think I won't come back. I think it's a bit overpriced and not worth it but still it's not but, I just think there are better restaurants.
